Werewolf Bar Mitzvah

Don't get me wrong here, I love my husband and my b.f.f. Rose to the ends of the earth...but if they don't quit reminding me of this song from Tracy Morgan I might have to murder them! Now I am choosing to plague you with it, ha ha ha!!!!

I'm alive...so alive

This week has been a huge waste. I have been sick with the stomach flu all week, and now I am back to work. The only thing accomplished by being sick was getting caught up on sleep, and I finally watched the Grey's Anatomy episodes that were waiting on the DVR.
Will report more after this weekend. T, myself and a bunch of girls are going down to Seattle for dinner, Cosmos, and a little movie we know as "Sex in the City". New York better watch out, Seattle girls are in the house!!!

I've caught a bug

My head is buzzing with crafting ideas these past couple of days. I am going craft crazy!!! On Sunday when I was scrapbooking with my sister-in-law, I silently made a vow that I would not spend any money on scrapbooking supplies until the end of summer (with the exception of adhesives if needed). When I decided to do this I think it helped me kick start myself into all of the projects I have been wanting to complete. I have a box of pictures that originally went with me on my scrapbooking retreat last March, and since Sunday I have been randomly picking pictures out to scrapbook. It has been great, I don't feel like I am in a rut and have not been getting tired of scrapbooking one "event". Wish me luck on getting a lot done the next few months.

must haves right now

While I am sitting here listening to my playlist on itunes, waiting for some chipboard freshly painted to dry, I am thinking of a few of my favorite things right now.

1. The t.v. show Paranormal State . I can't explain why I like this show other than the fact that I think it is fascinating that there are people who have certain "sensitivities". That is also why I like the show Medium .

2. Fabric refresher from Dreft (you know...the baby soap, etc.). It smells like baby soap/baby lotion which I have always loved the smell of, even as a kid. The great thing is, you can spray it like febreeze, but it smells sooooo much better. And an added bonus...it does not leave spots!

3. Any scrapbook product from http://www.sassafrasslass.com/ . Serously this stuff is the best!!!

4. The movie Juno . I loved Ellen Page ( I loved the digital short she was in on SNL awhile back) in this movie, I also like Michael Cera who played Bleeker. For those who don't know, Michael Cera played Jason Batemans son in Arrested Development. It is totally crazy that Arrested Development was taken off the air by the way. Anyways, this is a great movie.

5. Music by Chris Brown. I feel like I should be in a dance club when I listen to his music.

6. Vacation time. Isn't it time to head to the beach yet? Or as Hayley would say..."the real beach" because the beaches close to us are pretty rocky with very few shells. We are headed to Seabrook, Washington in June with our good friends. There is nothing like a lazy day at the beach with miles and miles of sand!

layouts complete

Progress report:
12 x 12 scrapbooking layouts completed today so far = 8

Wahoo for me!!!

The batteries in my camera, however, are dead so I can't share tonite.

Sleep tight.

Why we love Seattle

Mariners game last night with an unbelievable view of the field and the Seattle skyline is one of the many reasons we love living in the Seattle area. The weather was perfect, the game not so much...but we still had a lot of fun.

Today we took the kids to Carkeek park in Seattle. We have never been before! This is one of the best parks around. There is lots of beach to play on, trails to walk, a playground, and a big field to play in. It was a perfect day for a family outing. We took so many pictures, but I will just share a few.

Hope everyone enjoyed the weather this weekend. Not everyone gets excited over sunshine as much as Seattle-ites because around here if you stand still longer than 5 minutes you might just mold!!!

Tommorow is a big scrapbooking day with my sis-in-law. I will post any pages I am loving when I get home!

Hooked on this song

Rose got me hooked on this song by Jem. I could not find a video for it, other than this Grey's Anatomy clip video. Which reminds me, I have a few episodes waiting to be watched. Better go!

Apron complete

I just finished the apron for my friend Theresa that I have been working on. It took longer than I thought it would, but only because I have worked on it a little bit here and there. I thought the pattern ended up being pretty easy. Mark helped me with one part, and there is one thing I would change the next time. All in all though, I loved the way it turned out. It was a good 2nd project for me.

I'm off to the next project!
